PREMIERE: Fideles lança ‘The Tensior’ pela Afterlife

O duo Italiano Fideles, composto por Daniele Aprile & Mario Roberti, impressiona a cena techno melódica e progressiva há alguns anos com lançamentos por selos como Innvervisions e Stil Vor Talent, além de receber suportes de artistas como Dixon, John Digweed and Sasha.
O EP ‘Impressum’ pela gravadora Afterlife é um grande exemplo da belíssima sonoridade de Fideles e também demonstra a direção que o duo Tale of Us quer traçar para o seu selo.
A House Mag traz pra você o PREMIERE exclusivo da faixa ‘The Tensior’, uma das faixas do EP Impressum. Além disso, batemos um papo com o duo sobre o seu momento atual na carreira. Confira a entrevista completa.
1 – Olá Fideles, tudo bem? Vocês estão na cena produzindo faixas de qualidade há um bom tempo, mas parece que desde 2016 a carreira de vocês deu uma ótima guinada com lançamentos por gravadoras gigantes como Innervisions, Bedrock, last Night on Earth, Stil Vor Talent e agora este EP na gravadora Afterlife, do Tale of Us. Conte-nos um pouco sobre o início da caminhada de vocês, suas inspirações e sua ascensão ao sucesso?
Olá! Muito obrigado por nos receberem na House Mag! Nós nos conhecemos em 2005 e começamos a produzir como Fideles logo depois e realmente tem sido uma longa jornada. Mas como você mesmo citou 2016 foi um ano de ascensão na cena e começamos a realmente agradar os grandes selos underground da Europa, selos que há alguns anos estavam apenas em nossos sonhos. Esta ascensão não parece ter diminuído o nosso ritmo e finalmente vamos lançar nosso EP de estreia na Afterlife! Nós sempre acreditamos na nossa paixão e nas nossas ideias musicais e nunca desistimos de entregar elas para a cena underground da melhor maneira possível.
2 – Vocês estão lançando o EP Impressum pela Afterlife Records, que hoje é umas das mais respeitadas gravadoras de Techno melódico no mundo, com curadoria do lendário Tale of Us. Como foi o processo criativo deste EP? Como foi que suas faixas chegaram às mãos do Tale of Us?
O nosso ambiente é a nossa principal fonte de inspiração. Nós sempre falamos isto muito nas entrevistas que damos, mas o mar de Lonia é grande parte disso tudo, já que se encontra a 250 metros do nosso estúdio. Ficamos muito tempo perto do mar, é um lugar perfeito para relaxar e nos inspirar. Mas a inspiração para todos os nossos lançamentos, não apenas para o Impressum EP, vem dos locais que visitamos, das pessoas que conhecemos em nossas jornadas. Sobre as faixas do EP, nós mandamos para o Tale of Us e não tivemos resposta, porém tivemos a surpresa de ver eles tocando algumas faixas ao vivo em seus shows. Depois de um tempo ele nos enviou um email dizendo que havia adorado as faixas e que ia lançar pela Afterlife Records. Foi uma sensação de felicidade incrível quando tivemos a confirmação do lançamento do nosso EP com 5 faixas, não esperávamos lançar todas, foi incrível!
3 – A House Mag está fazendo o PREMIERE exclusivo da faixa “The Tensior”, uma das faixas deste grande EP, cheia de arpeggios hipnóticos e um belíssimo groove. Poderia nos contar um pouco sobre o processo de produção desta faixa? Quais synths /VSTs vocês usaram no processo criativo?
Não podemos contar muitos detalhes sobre o nosso processo criativo, é algo íntimo e reservado. Porém podemos dizer que usamos synths analógicos e VSTs para criar ‘The Tensior”, um combo perfeito na nossa opinião. The Tensior é uma das nossas faixas favoritas do EP e tem feito o público no dance floor ir a loucura!
4 – E o que mais podemos esperar do Fideles no futuro próximo? Algum tour planejado com a Afterlife? E sobre os lançamentos, podem nos falar algo sobre os próximos EPs e remixes? Algo engatilhado para tocar no Brasil em um futuro próximo?
Estaremos nos apresentando em alguns dos próximos show cases da Afterlife no mundo e estamos recebendo vários convites de vários clubs legais, então esperamos tocar no Brasil em breve. Sobre nossos futuros lançamentos, teremos um remix bem legal lançando mês que vem e outro grande EP no início do ano que vem, mas infelizmente não podemos dar mais detalhes. Temos certeza que vão amar ambos quando saírem.

Italian duo Fideles have been taking the underground scene by storm in the last couple of years, releasing tracks on labels such as Innervisions and Stil Vor Talent while getting huge support form names such as Dixon, John Digweed and Sasha.
Their ‘Impressum’ EP on Afterlife is both a fine example of the Fideles sound and exactly in keeping with the direction Tale Of Us are steering their label. Inspired by the Ionian sea in Southern Italy, low-pitched basslines and soaring synths give the tracks just the right amount of drama, whilst the rich sound-design allows them to make the most of a big system.

1 – Hi Fideles, thanks for joining us. You guys have been around for quite some time producing quality melodic underground music, but it seems that since 2016 things started to finally get big for you guys with releases on labels such as Innervisions, Bedrock, last Night on Earth, Stil Vor talent and now a huge EP on Tale of us’s Afterlife Imprint. Please tell the Brazilian fans a bit of your beginning , inspiration and a little about this long road you guys walked through to finally be able to reach the pinnacle labels in the underground scene. A short resume for your road to success. We would love to know more about the inside struggles of your career.
Hi there, first of all thanks for having us here… We originally met in 2005 and started to produce together as Fideles shortly after, it has indeed been a long road we have walked through. But as you mentioned 2016 was the year we really picked up momentum and started to turn heads in the underground scene releasing on big European labels, labels that a few year back we would only dream about releasing on. This momentum showed no sign of easing off in 2017 with our debut EP on Afterlife this week. We always had to trust our passion and musical ideas and keep delivering them to the underground scene.
2 – You guys have an amazing EP called IMPRESSUM coming out on Afterlife Records, which is one of the most, if not the most important melodic techno label at the moment, curated by legends Tale of Us. Can you talk us through the process of how this tracks were produced and how did you guys end up signing with such a massive label. Did Tale of us ask you for demos personally or did you guys had aimed this demos specially for the label ? Tell us a bit about the behind the scenes story of this release for our curious readers.
Thanks! Our surroundings is a key aspect of where our ideas come from. We mention a lot in interviews but the Ionian Sea is a big part of this, since it is just 250m from our studio we spend a lot of time close to it, it’s the perfect place to chill and charge batteries full of ideas. But inspiration for not only this ‘Impressum’ EP but all our music comes from the places we visit, the journeys we take and the people we meet. But once the track were ready we sent to Tale of Us, they were not expecting the tracks so after few weeks when we noticed them play a few tracks in their sets we were very happy, but even happier when we had confirmation some time later of 5 track EP.
3 – House Mag is premiering one of the tracks of this EP called “The Tensior”, a track full of hypnotic arpeggios and a powerful dance floor groove. Can you tell us a bit about the specific production details of this track? What synths / VSTs you guys used in this creative process?
We cannot share to much details about our production as it’s something intimate and reserved to us. However we can tell you that we used digital VSTs and analog machines to create ‘The Tensior’, a perfect combo in our eyes! ‘The Tensior’ is one of our favorites from the EP, a hypnotic track with cool groove and seems to makes people go crazy on the dance floor, and even us in the studio when we finished it!
4- After this Massive EP on Afterlife, what more can we expect from Fideles in the near future? Any tours planned with Afterlife brand? Any special collaboration or upcoming releases? Maybe a Brazil tour soon? We would love to know a bit of all the exciting things that you guys have planned for the near future!
We will be performing on some of the next Afterlife showcases around the world, and we get cool requests from some of our favorite clubs, so hope to see Brazil soon, stay tuned to be updated about that. With future releases, we will have a great remix out next month and another exciting EP early next year, but unfortunately we cannot share any further info at the moment, I’m sure you will like both!
